THE FRIENDS OF THE SAN FRANCISCO PSYCHOANALYTIC INSTITUTE ANNUAL LECTURE

As the close of the 20th Century is upon us, one is compelled to address the revolutionary impact computer technology has on our intrapsychic as well as social lives. Our panelists will be addressing such questions as; How does the accessibility to the Internet affect our sense of the self and human relationships_ Does the rate of growth in technology relative to other systems contribute to psychological and social stress or does the Internet play a role in ameliorating stress_ What are the syndromes of computer addiction and how do we test and treat them_ Join the Friends of the San Francisco Psychoanalytic Institute for an "interactive symposium" where we will explore and discuss the human-computer relationship vis-à-vis the self, the other, and the culture.
